Summer Rust Buster

The Rust Buster is a HIGH ENERGY, week long camp, filled with lots of COMPETITIVE GAME PLAY and MEANINGFUL BALL CONTACTS. The goal of the Rust Buster camp is to provide MALE and FEMALE athletes an opportunity to learn and grow in a highly collaborative, competitive and focused training environment, and prepare for the upcoming MIDDLE SCHOOL (grades 6-8) or HIGH SCHOOL (grades 9-12) season.

ALL NOW Camps focus on maximizing the number of quality ball contacts athletes receive to help them LEARN and REFINE skills and strategies, athletes then APPLY their learning in a variety of game situations.  Athletes will learn from some of the most knowledgeable and successful club/university/college coaches in the province, with a high coach to athlete ratio to ensure appropriate FEEDBACK is delivered to facilitate athlete growth.

*Rust Buster is OPEN to any athlete from any club, all clubs are welcome

*Rust Buster High School Camp is ONLY open to athletes who have participated in club, high school volleyball or equivalent training. Entry into the camp is at the discretion of camp director.

* Athletes will be placed into groups based on their skill and ability levels at the discretion of the coaching staff to ensure that training meets the needs of everyone.

* Athletes must be entering grades 6, 7 or 8 in September 2019 to register for the Middle School Camp / athletes must be entering grades 9, 10, 11, 12 in September 2019 to register for the High School Camp.

Middle School Camp - Beginner / Intermediate

Location: Pitt River Middle School

Ages: Athletes entering grades 6, 7 or 8 in September 2019

Times: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Start Date: Monday August 19th, 2019

End Date: Friday August 23rd, 2019

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate 

Cost: $300 (*GST Included)

Camp Outline

Skill Essentials

All fundamental skills are introduced and applied in games, athletes will build a stronger technical foundation.

System and Tactical Training

Team systems and foundational tactics will be introduced to enhance athlete volleyball knowledge and understanding.

Game Play

Application and refining of learning during game play is essential for growth, opportunities during competitive game situations is a priority at the camp.

High School Camp - Advanced

Location: Riverside Secondary

Ages: Athletes entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 in September 2019

Times: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Start Date: Monday August 19th, 2019

End Date: Friday August 23rd, 2019

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced (must have previous high school and/or previous club playing experience to register)

Cost: $300 (*GST Included)

Camp Outline

Skill Essentials

All fundamental skills will be reviewed, and a higher level diverse skill set will be introduced to expand the athletes volleyball toolkit.

System and Tactical Training

Advanced tactics and systems will be introduced, and applied in numerous competitive 6 vs 6 team situations. The focus will be to enhance and build the athletes volleyball IQ and understanding.

Position Specific Tutorials

Focused position specific movements and techniques will be introduced and applied in game situations. Athletes will learn the details of their position to succeed.

Holistic Performance

NOW Volleyball strives to allow athletes learn to be their best, both on an off the court. The following off court sessions will be provided:

Additional Information

* Once registration has been accepted, you will be sent an email with additional information confirming your position in the camp. Training fills up very quickly, and a wait list will be created.

* All athletes receive a T-Shirt if registration is received before July 20th, 2019.

* There will be no refunds for missed sessions.

* Athletes will be placed into groups based on their age, skill and ability levels at the discretion of the coaching staff to ensure that training meets the needs of everyone.

* Athletes may be asked to move sessions where appropriate, to provide a better learning environment.

Refund Policy

It is NOW Volleyball policy that refunds will ONLY be given under extenuating circumstances. Return of the registration fee must be approved by the registrar.

Refunds are subject to:

* A $30.00 cancellation fee

Refunds will not be given after the sessions have begun

* There are no refunds for missed sessions

* No refunds will be given within 2 weeks of the start date of the camp if a replacement cannot be found

* There will be a deduction of unrecoverable costs (i.e. facility fees, affiliation fees, equipment, athlete replacement etc.)
