What is the NOW Ice Breaker?
The Ice Breaker is for athletes that want to make major gains in their game in PREPARATION FOR CLUB season and tryouts. All of our camps are HIGH INTENSITY and provide athletes an opportunity to BUILD AND GROW in all areas of their game. SKILL DEVELOPMENT, POSITION SPECIFIC TRAINING, SYSTEMS EDUCATION and implementation into 6 vs 6 GAME PLAY are the focus of this camp. Our sessions are always lead by PROFESSIONAL and EXPERIENCED coaches, whose primary focus is to help each athlete develop and refine their skills + abilities + volleyball IQ. We want to help each athlete build and grow the tools they need to be successful.

We have put into place amazing programming that meets all of the current requirements from ViaSport and Volleyball BC to ensure our staff and participants are safe. Safety is our priority.
COVID-19 Return to Play Guidelines are fluid and changing. Please take a moment to review the NOW Volleyball RETURN TO PLAY.The structure of our camp will be adapted when changes are made to the Volleyball BC RETURN TO PLAY.
Registration Information
- Increased cleaning protocols, increased facility rental costs, and reduced number of allowable athletes on each court have lead to a small increase in registration fees.
- Ice Breaker sessions are OPEN to ANY athlete from ANY club, all clubs are welcome to participate.
- Ice Breaker sessions 14U and up are ONLY OPEN to athletes who have participated in recent club volleyball and/or equivalent training. Entry into the camp is at the discretion of the camp director. Please review the criteria listed for each training program.
- Athletes will be placed into groups based on their age, skill and ability levels at the discretion of the coaching staff to ensure that training meets the needs of everyone.
- Please review the refund policy outlined at the bottom of this page.
- Space will be extremely limited. Camp numbers will be dictated by the allowable number of athletes outlined in by Volleyball BC.

Important Information
- Space will be extremely limited. NOW Volleyball will be gradually, safely implementing the new (August 26th) Volleyball BC Return to Play Plan. Currently the camp will host 8-10 athletes per court. 6 on 6 game play may be introduced where appropriate.

- Fall Ball is OPEN to any athlete from any club, all clubs are welcome

Additional Information
- Once registration has been accepted, you will be sent an email with additional information confirming your position in the camp. Training fills up very quickly, and a wait list will be created.
- There will be no refunds for missed sessions.
- Athletes will be placed into groups based on their age, skill and ability levels at the discretion of the camp director to ensure that training meets the needs of everyone.
- Athletes may be asked to move sessions where appropriate, to provide a better learning environment.
Refund Policy
REGULAR REFUND POLICY
It is NOW/Ducks Volleyball policy is that no refunds will be given once programs have commenced. It is club policy that refunds will ONLY be given under specific extenuating circumstances. Return of the registration fee must be approved by the registrar and will be prorated if the sessions have already begun. Refunds are subject to:
- a $40 cancellation fee
- prorated amount, based on the amount of sessions elapsed
- deduction of unrecoverable costs (ie. facility fees, affiliation fees, equipment, etc.)
- refunds will not be given for sessions cancelled due to inclement weather or athlete missed sessions
COVID-19 REFUND POLICY
In the event that a program must be shut down due to a confirmed case of Covid-19, participants will receive a pro-rated discount for the remainder of the sessions less unrecoverable costs.
PARTICIPANT FALLS ILL – NO COVID TEST
If an athlete falls ill, our regular Refund policy will take effect. If participant exhibits Covid-19 symptoms, it is imperative they contact 8-1-1 immediately. Please refer to our Return to Play page for specific instructions.
No refunds will be given for regular illness, unconfirmed by official Covid-19 test.

GYM TIME IS CANCELED
If the gym time booked is canceled, registered participants will be able to choose from one of the following options:
- Receive a full refund
- Full credit forward: allow NOW Volleyball/Ducks Volleyball to retain your full fees paid thus far to be used for a future camp registration. Full credits do not expire and can be used for any NOW Volleyball Camp registration and for any individual within your household. Families who choose this option will be given the opportunity to register for our next NOW Volleyball Camp before the general public.
